The East China Drone Base was established on August 30, 2018.
It is the first government-led civil aviation-supported integrated test flight and industry base for civil drones in China, supported by the East China Regional Administration of Civil Aviation (ECAA), Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology (SMCEIT), Shanghai Municipal Commission of Transportation (SMCOT), Shanghai Municipal Commission of Science and Technology (SMCST) and other parties.
It is also the first government-led civil aviation supported integrated test flight and industry base for civil drones in China, led by the government of Jingshan District.
