Established during the Jiajing reign of the Ming Dynasty (1566-1620), this 460-year-old masterpiece is celebrated as the “Crown of Southeastern Gardens”. Suzhou River Cruise: The eastern side of the Bund Source Pier houses the former rowing club site. Behind it stands a two-story British-style mansion that once served as the British Consulate General in Shanghai, originally constructed in 1849 and standing as the oldest structure in the Bund architectural complex. To the left front of the pier stands the spire-roofed church building, formerly known as Xintian’an Church (United Church), featuring a prominent 33-meter clock tower at its center.
